SugarTree History The town of nearby Dennis once celebrated the opening of a cable suspension bridge over the Brazos River. Dennis boasted two mercantile stores, a cotton gin, post office, and a blacksmith shop. The barn of the original Dennis estate still sits left of the 15th fairway and there are remnants of an old school house. SugarTree Tradition Voted by Lone Star club pros, SugarTree Golf Club was selected number 18 in the entire State of Texas. It has been named one of 10 hidden gems by GolfTexas.com. And it also holds Golf Digest’s four star rating. SugarTree Golf Club has also hosted a U.S. Senior Men’s Open qualifier and the Adams/Adidas Ft. Worth Classic.  “The Grill at SugarTree” is a casual dining room that offers a beautiful view of the golf course and features a variety of items such as sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and our famous cheeseburgers. You can even call us or catch us at the turn after the ninth hole to grab a quick bite or something to drink.
