Course InfoWe are the sole, truly PRIVATE, Golf Course country club in northwest Rochester. In 2013 Ridgemont was purchased to enable various creative flexible memberships. Trends and changes in family and social lifestyles triggered the need for unique affordable and convenient memberships.
Country Club at RCC no longer means a stuffy or strict attitude or atmosphere. In a recent member survey, the friendliness and warmth that the Grille, Bar area and new Patio Room was one of our strongest features. We are sort of a community family, but hardly a closed-knit group.
Our Ambassador program enables, encourages involvement and enjoyment for all members. Regular newsletters, a vibrant entertainment calendar, and first quality food and dining provide pleasing alternatives to be engaged and part of a rewarding fun lifestyle.
Ridgemont CC's course is an 18 hole par 72, measuring from 6740 yards from the 'back' tees, and 4750 yards from the 'fronts'. It is a classic- northeast parkland style venue that offers a challenging test of golf for players of all levels. In 2014 we will have completed 5 different sets of tees for each hole, providing a variety of challenges for all talent, age, and gender groups.
Some of the characteristics of our course:
Narrow fairways, but very playable first & second cut roughs.
Smaller target greens that require accuracy on approach shots.
Ridgemont is an enjoyable and very playable layout, walker-friendly.
The plush soft fairways play longer than card yardages.
Our practice facility is the only all grass facility on the west side.
Practice balls are always present, clean, new, and abundant
The teeing area is natural grass, flat and pristine, and provides equivalent fairway and rough conditions for all types of practice and training.
The bunker provides both green side and fairway conditions that will allow for every type of sand shot.
Our Wednesday Men's and Tuesday Thursday Ladies leagues are friendly and socially spirited.
