Comments: Shadowbrooke is a fun, non-pretentious course located about 30 miles West of the Twin Cities. The clubhouse is older and small, but lined with interesting old golfing photos. It is a relatively simple course with plenty of wide open holes that allow for errant drives. This is why it has been where I've shot the 3 lowest rounds of my life. Also, the greens are usually pretty soft & slow, so it's easy to chip it close and tough to send a putt screaming too far past the hole. This isn't to say it's a boring course though, it has interesting holes that provide fair variety and an enjoyable round. No dress code necessary, come as you are. If you don't need country club conditions, and want to play a fun course at a good value, I recommend Shadowbrooke.
