Comments: This is a shotmaker's course off the tee, due to the tight tree-lined fairways and the curvature of the holes. One of the best aspects of this course is that you can use a variety of clubs off the tee. I never used a driver, although 2 of the 3 par 5s can be shortened if you can hit it straight. I used mostly 3- and 5-woods, a 5-iron 5 times and a 7-iron once. There are a lot of holes with great character, including the short par-3 5th hole where players tee off on top of a hill to the green some 40 feet below. A very walkable course. Course does reside in a low-lying valley, so if it rains it can be a little soggy. Range is a bit small and better players will not be able to hit drivers off the practice tee. 19th hole bar and grill is one of the best in the area with an outdoor deck overlooking the 18th green and first tee, outdoor Tv and multiple ceiling fans.
