Comments: Pasfield Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Springfield located near Washington Park. Pasfield is nine hole Par 34 course. The course has both easy and hard holes. It is possible to shoot a low score here if you play smart. One of the biggest challenges is keeping your ball in play on Holes 1 through 4. All of these holes bump up against two busy streets in Springfield. The signature hole on the course is #8. The Par 4 #8 is challenging from the start. The tee sits at the highest part of the course and you have decision to lay up before the creek or go over it. This hole is dogleg right and green slopes toward the creek. It is one of the most challenging holes in town. If you are familiar with Springfield, you see the reason why this course is used as the top sledding venues during the winter. One interesting feature of the course is that are no bunkers. That is both a good and bad thing because the rough is pretty thick. The Head Pro is awesome and one of the best teaching pros locally. The rates for the course are very reasonable to play nine holes. I think this is a true gem in Springfield.
