Comments: Superior National is Minnesota destination golf at its finest. Unless you're a low handicapper, just play this course to have fun, not to shoot a low score. There are ample opportunities to lose balls (and I took full advantage of those opportunities!), but you can hardly even be mad when you get to watch your ball majestically careen down a cliff into a rushing river that's making it's way to nearby Lake Superior. Speaking of Lake Superior, you have a great view of it on many holes. Large elevation changes are part of the breath-taking beauty and make a cart necessary. The course offers 3 different nines, River, Canyon, and Mountain for 27 beautiful holes. Can be pricey by my standards, but it's worth it for the experience. You could probably find decent deals of GolfNow or other sites too, if you look around. Course is well-maintained, no complaints in any way. Bottom line, if you are a golfer vacationing in the area and have your clubs with, you don't want to miss out on this course. Just bring plenty of balls with!
