Comments: Timber Creek is a fun, 18-hole course just a short drive west of the Twin Cities. Being out of the metro area, it is more laid back and non-pretentious. However, it is still a very well maintained course. The holes offer a variety of challenges (trees, water, sand) and are visually appealing in a rural Minnesota sort of way. There are 2 holes on the back nine that are particularly interesting, a 90° dogleg left, followed by a 90° dogleg right, adjacent to each other. Rate are more affordable than many of the suburban courses, but they have gone up a little in the last few years. Overall, I've never been disappointed in the half dozen or so times I've played Timber Creek. Not an easy course, but also not so tough that you'll lose a ton of balls or get overly discouraged if you're not a great golfer. I'd recommend it.
