Comments: Course was hurt by a harsh winter. Bermuda grass doesn't like cold. When I played in May, the fairways looked good from a distance, but when you got to your ball the ground looked like a guy with bad hair plugs. This round was much better. Played East/South. Bunkers were being reworked with fresh sand. It had the consistency of confectioner's sugar. When I stepped in, I sunk in about 6 inches. Difficult to play out of. Once the sand settles things should be fine. Been playing there for over 10 years. A nice 27 holes; the East course is definitely the hardest. You can get good prices on Golfnow. I'll be back.

Comments: Normally love to play here when I'm in the area. Today I couldn't finish the round. When I called yesterday to look into playing, the pro shop said that the winter had been bad and that they are still recovering. I came anyway and found that they had overestimated the quality of the fairways. On the first hole, a crew was sodding in front of the green so I didn't feel comfortable hitting an approach shot. Most of the holes were "cart path only," something not mentioned at the clubhouse when I paid for the round. Play was terribly slow, and since I had a 3 and a half hour ride home, I decided to head on home. They gave me a 9 hole rain check for the next time. Courses in Louisville were hit hard by the winter as well and they charged winter rates during their healing. I love the course, and look forward to playing there again, but maybe not for a while.

Comments: A former country club, it's now a public course not far from the University. I go up to La Crosse for a conference most years and found a group of guys to play with when I'm there. A nice course a fair amount of elevation changes. The first tee crosses railroad tracks as does your approach shot on 18. Otherwise pretty straightforward.

Comments: Built by Kenny for his pals, it's a fairly easy course that can still be challenging. Not terribly long, it's a fun place to play for an average golfer. Lots of memorabilia in the clubhouse.

Comments: Fun, funky track. The Waterfall 9 has a par 3 that has you hit up to the top of a waterfall and a par 3 shaped like a baseball diamond. The Longest on the Longest 9 is not a straight away par 6, but requires good shot placement and accuracy to par it. A good facility with a very good clubhouse and friendly staff. I've gone out of my way to play there and would again.

Comments: First time to play, but not the last time. A housing development course that has only a few homes built that only affect play on the last few holes of the back nine. Challenging layout, friendly staff. Scorecard has a yardage book included-nice touch. Can be a bit expensive for its location but deals are available. I'll be back.
